Aurora Hendrix
Staff Engineer
Aurora was born and raised in the PNW and spends most of her time outside work either backpacking, hiking, or taking her pups to the beach. She has two puppies, Doug and Margo, and two cats, Nibs and Beans.
Ben Thomas
Senior Inspector
Big Ben, the BBQ king, hails from Louisiana. He has been BBQing longer than he has been a construction inspector. Wallis Engineering values his extensive knowledge of both. He always greets you with a huge smile and, if you’re lucky, some of his amazing BBQ.
Carla Isiordia
Staff Engineer
Carla is always looking for opportunities to boost her character stats. She is happiest when obsessing over skills that don’t come naturally. Carla is currently working on Ote’a dance and improving her golf game.

CAD Technician
Chad walks to work every day and is our champion green commuter. He enjoys going garage sale hunting and has an uncanny knack for finding the best treasures.

Deirdre and her husband are Oregon State University graduates that enjoy family, gardening and outdoor activities. If not remodeling something, Deirdre is likely to be reading, knitting or pursuing another perfect beach sunset photo.

Admin Manager
Erin is a mother of two amazing “adults” who bring delight and lots of eyerolls. She enjoys hanging out with them and sharing “in my day” stories (their words). In recent years, she has discovered a love of travel and experiencing bucket list adventures.

Felise enjoys all of the outdoors, but her true passion is horses. When not at the barn, she enjoys spending time with her family and cooking.

When Gill isn’t tackling an accounting issue or working on a proposal, she could be spending time in the garden, or sewing, knitting, spinning, weaving…
Jane Vail
Principal Engineer
Jane’s passion is promoting civil engineering as a career path, especially for non-traditional engineers. She is just as likely to talk to you about low-bid contract law as gardening. You can find Jane backpacking in the summer and baking in the winter.
Jason Hanauska
Staff Engineer
A native Oregonian, Jason enjoys snowboarding, riding motorcycles, and taking in the great outdoors with his family and dogs Skyler and Bowie. When he isn’t outside, you can catch him playing video games and enjoying a wide range of musical genres.
Jay Crooks
Engineer In Training
With a family full of proud Beavers, Jay’s path to Oregon State University was almost destiny, and civil engineering was a great match. Outside the office, you’ll likely find him chasing after the Springer Spaniel puppy, who insists on running the show.

When Jim isn’t building something, he enjoys boating or biking with his family. His favorite day is cruising on the Columbia River or riding the Twin Tunnels with his family.

In her spare time Karla enjoys bowling, retail therapy, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Lori enjoys puzzles, music and spending time with her family. She also loves her yearly vacation to Central Oregon with extended family.

Perhaps the quietest Wallis employee, Natalie enjoys a good joke and appreciates the candor and liveliness of her colleagues. She is quick to nerd out about maps, knitting, music, dive bars, and backpacking.
Rachel Kimball
Project Assistant
Rachel lives for her partner Devin, fantasy, and her cat Tucker—who loves to nap on her crochet projects. A Communications grad and photography enthusiast, she’s always up for a game night or a Fellowship of the Ring rewatch (extended edition, of course).
Ryan Voss
Project Engineer
Ryan loves to spend time overlanding and skiing with his partner, Brooklyn, and their two pups, Gunner and Haku. Ryan is also refining his skills at home brewing; he makes a pretty good Hazy!

In her free time, Sara enjoys outings with her family and reading. She has participated in multiple half marathons and Hood to Coast relays. She still hasn’t decided whether she loves or hates running.
Sherrie Giggers

Sherrie is a seamstress who has engineered many gowns for her daughters: from fairytale princesses to high school proms. She helps maintain home and property with her husband and is known to pilot their truck/RV on occasion for annual camping trips.
Tomalynn Silva
CAD Technician
When Tomalynn is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to travel, and especially loves camping at the coast.

An Arizona native, Tyler relishes warm, sunny days and all outdoor activities that accompany them. He enjoys fishing, rafting, swimming, and anything else that allows him to be on the water.
Wes Wegner
Senior Engineer
When not in the office you can find Wes spending time with his family, playing soccer and/or planning his next hunting adventure. When he is in the office, he enjoys engaging in engineering projects… and pulling the occasional prank on his co-workers.

We are very grateful to have worked with Mike Conway, who passed away in 2019. Before working with us, he was a dedicated public servant who supported high quality infrastructure improvements. Mike was tireless in his efforts to make cities better places.
