Wallis Engineering is seeking a licensed civil project engineer with excellent teamwork skills who enjoys planning, design, and construction engineering for public agency projects. At a minimum, the successful applicant will have professional licensure as a Civil Engineer or Environmental Engineer, and have 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.

The successful applicant will work on a team to deliver civil engineering services for municipal infrastructure, including water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation systems . Roles may include serving as lead design engineer or staff engineer depending on the project. Ultimately, you will have tailored training and opportunities to manage projects, as well as design. In addition, you may assist with marketing tasks such as assisting/attending client presentations, and meeting with potential clients with or without the assistance of a senior engineer.

We’re looking for an excellent engineer who likes to get projects out to the door and wants to collaborate with other engineers. We’re open to someone who might not be able to commit to 40 hours a week, but has time for at least 20 hours a week during office hours.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Exceptional communication skills and teamwork skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, non-structured environment.
  • Ability to efficiently perform engineering design work resulting in high-quality contract documents and drawings with limited guidance from Project Managers.
  • Proficiency with relevant computer systems and software.

Compensation Range

5-10 years of experience $90,000-$110,000
10-15 years of experience $115,000-$140,000
