Philosopher Plato on Water Quality

platoTwenty four centuries ago, Plato made an interesting observation of the vulnerability of water quality to the elements:

“Neither soil, sun, nor wind which, jointly with water, supply nourishment to the products of the soil, are easily tampered with by poisonous substances, diversion, or theft, but water is by nature liable to all three.”

Since Plato’s time, man has advanced to the point of also compromising soil and air quality.
