Wallis Engineering hosted a group of 9th graders from Fort Vancouver High School recently for an office visit and a field visit. Firm founder Bob Wallis talked with students about how civil engineering has shaped cities during the office tour. After donning hardhats and safety vests, engineer Dan Shafar (pictured above left, in yellow) led students on a tour of the active construction site at the City of Washougal Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks Facility.
